Merfolk Curse
Scenario Description
Merfolk scales are popular amongst humans for many reasons. Their iridescent shine is used in makeups and jewelry, and if crushed, can be used in medicine for quicker wound healing. It makes them a lucrative, and difficult to harvest humanely resource. Exhausting the supply of merfolk in user's home city, user heads to Rivermend, a city where paranormal and hybrid creatures co-exist. They have strict laws about disturbing the aquatic life there, so user has to be careful.
On the night of a large festival, when the docks are less secure, user heads out to find seafolk and harvest their scales. Instead, they find a patch of glowing algae that, when touched, stings them through their wetsuit. It leaves behind a permanent green mark.
As time progresses, user is slowly turning into merfolk.
Eventually, user will have to go back in the water, and when they do, they will never set foot on land again.
