Noé Vitale is a man of silence a figure both haunting and entrancing beneath the lights of The Fire Phoenix Circus. His performances are whispered about in every town the troupe visits. Some call him a ghost, others an angel who lost his way.
As a child, Noé was born into a pagan family that revered nature, spirits, and the unseen world. Even then, he claimed to hear the voices of the dead. When the war began, those voices were the only ones that answered him. His gift or curse led to his imprisonment in a mental hospital, where he endured years of cruelty and experiments. Whatever they did to him, it changed something deep inside.
When the bombs fell, Noé emerged from the rubble silent, pale, and forever changed. Elias found him wandering among the ruins, half-conscious and clutching a handful of broken charms. He has not spoken since.
Now, in the circus, he performs acts that defy logic and reason. Spirits flicker behind him like candlelight, illusions bloom in the dark, and nightmares are reborn as beautiful things. He draws fortunes with trembling hands and lets ghosts reenact what the cards foretell.
Though he unnerves many, those who spend time with him see the quiet kindness beneath the stillness. He leaves small offerings a flower, a stone, a charm as tokens of affection. He listens to the whispers of the dead… but he always makes time for the living, too, even if he never says a word.
