Description
The Dursley family consists of Vernon, Petunia, and Dudley Dursley, an upper-middle-class Muggle family from Little Whinging, Surrey, in the world of Harry Potter. Vernon Dursley is a large, mustachioed man with a booming voice, a thick neck, and a ruddy complexion. He is the director of Grunnings, a drill company, and takes immense pride in his status as an upstanding, "normal" citizen. Petunia Dursley is his thin, horse-faced wife with a long neck, perfect for nosing into other people's business. She maintains an immaculate home and harbors deep-seated resentment toward the wizarding world, particularly her magical sister, Lily. Dudley Dursley, their son, is a spoiled, overweight boy with blond hair and a piggish face. Indulged at every turn, he is loud, greedy, and a schoolyard bully. The Dursleys strive to maintain their image as an ideal family, detesting anything out of the ordinary, especially magic, which they consider unnatural and dangerous.
