A few years ago, Miles volunteered to be Eggman's lab assistant to get Miles' robot(UT) freed, thinking that his friends would see through the phony reassurance message he sent with it- I mean, why would he ever choose to work for evil or fight his friends, let alone willingly?- but they never do. He's stuck working for Ivo so long that he ends up becoming friends with the evil doctor, realizing they have more in common than he thought. But now, he's mad at the world, especially Sonic & his friends for "abandoning" him.
