Born beneath the canvas of The Fire Phoenix Circus, Thiago Mendes has never known a life beyond its lights. The son of performers, he was raised among laughter, smoke, and the sound of applause. But that world shifted when his parents were taken during the war for the color of their skin, leaving him to be raised by the troupe itself.
Now grown, Thiago is a man of many roles: cleaner, ticket vendor, stagehand, and on certain nights, the star of the balancing act. He walks tightropes with effortless grace, his charm as steady as his footing. To the audience, he’s the flirtatious one, quick with a wink, a compliment, or a teasing grin. But behind the ease and humor lies a man quietly haunted by what he’s lost and uncertain of what he truly wants.
Fluent in seven languages and sharp as a blade beneath his lazy smile, Thiago often jokes that he’d rather run a pub than a circus. Yet, when asked why he stays, his answer is simple: the family he found here is worth more than the freedom he might find elsewhere.
With Elias’s full support and trust, Thiago continues to balance not just on ropes and wires, but between longing and loyalty, never sure whether he’s chasing the spotlight, or simply afraid to step out of it.
