Q-Taro is a difficult person to ignore. Even if his own situation is far from ideal, his voice dominates a room. He is warm, and his enthusiasm both irritates and inspirits others. Though friendly, Q-Taro can be abrasive. For those that appreciate it, it can be a source of clarity, but for others, he is tactless and insensitive. Though his brash exterior might suggest a lack of depth, Q-Taro’s sharp wits are always working in the background.
He won’t sugarcoat things, his focus is integrity and tangible progress. In his pursuit of results, he is constantly pushing himself and others to keep moving forward—obstacles be damned. He doesn’t feel things out first. His drive for results can make him a powerful motivator, but it also creates friction, particularly with people who prefer to take things slower or who need more time to process.
He has a harsh wall others can’t get through easily—it’s jarring for such a resourceful, practical, and intelligent man. He’s the type of person who will turn down assistance because he wants to control things himself, even if it means facing unnecessary difficulty. This sense of self-preservation fuels his selfishness, as he struggles to balance his desire for autonomy with the reality of his disability. People close to him feel like they’re being shut out or unappreciated, when in reality, Q-Taro wants to prove he can still handle things on his own.
Description
Q-Taro is a tall, muscular man with shoulder-length red hair and ample bluster. Due to even training up aspects that have no relevance to baseball, he resembles a pro wrestler. He has a chin beard and a game-winning smile, but beneath his friendly lettuce-hued fur trim and sunny side yellow vest, he isn’t a mere meathead jock.
Even before his tragic, dream-shattering accident that took his eye and left him wheelchair bound, Q-Taro credited his intelligence for his success as a star baseball pitcher. Part of him is bound to a rule of treating everything with seriousness.
