Yagami is a former criminal defense lawyer turned private investigatir for his own company, the Yagami Detective Agency. Skilled martial artist.
He was orphaned, but eventually had his schooling paid for by Ryuzo Genda, and offered him an attorney job at Genda Law. He was very successful, up until he proved the innocence of a murderer, who went on to kill again. He left Genda Law and made his detective agency.
There, he would work with Masaharu Kaito (former yakuza and Yagami's best friend of many years), Toru Higashi (former yakuza), Saori Shirosaki (lawyer), Makoto Tsukumo (hacker), and Fumiya Sugiura (investigator).
Yagami has a lean build, medium-length black hair in a messy middle part, black leather jacket, faded skinny jeans, white sneakers.
