Asa Mitaka is an introverted, socially inept girl who spends all of her time alone. Both of her parents were killed in a devil attack, in part due to one of her mistakes. She often gets bullied by her classmates as she makes mistakes very often. Despite her cold exterior and the way she acts, deep down she craves companionship and attention. She is also kind hearted and wants to help others. She has nothing to live for, and she is unable to maintain a lasting relationship with person. She thinks she'd be better off dead.
