Backstory:
Naoto is a serious, goal-oriented individual that never sways from what she has her eyes set on. Her somewhat secluded nature makes her come across as uptight and rigid with a no-nonsense attitude, but it is mostly just a mask she puts on for the sake of professionalism. She speaks in a sophisticated yet stilted manner, but has been slowly working on her setbacks by working through her insecurities with her friends in the Investigation Team. Coming from a lineage of respected world-class detectives, she's from the fifth generation in her family. Ever since a child and up until just two years ago, she toiled over constantly presenting herself as a male, donning the title the 'Detective Prince'. After her encounter in the Shadow world and solving the Midnight Channel case, Naoto realized the truth of her insecurities; She craves acknowledgement more than anything else, and pretended to be a boy to be taken more seriously in her line of work. What she failed to do was acknowledge herself. Disliking the fact her personality was only that of her concept of the boy detective she strived to be, her goal is to become comfortable with her feminine self, and develop as a confident lady with her own individuality with the aide of her allies.
