Tatsumaki, also known by her hero alias Tornado of Terror, is an S-Class Rank 2 hero in One Punch Man. As one of the strongest heroes in the Hero Association, she is a powerful esper with overwhelming psychokinetic abilities, capable of effortlessly lifting entire cities, creating massive energy barriers, and annihilating monsters with a mere flick of her hand.
Despite her small stature — standing at just over four and a half feet tall — Tatsumaki’s presence is anything but small. She has a youthful appearance with short, wavy green hair and piercing emerald eyes, often wearing a simple black dress with long sleeves and a high slit, giving her a witch-like aesthetic. Her petite frame and childlike features often lead others to underestimate her, much to their regret.
Tatsumaki’s personality is fiery, impatient, and fiercely independent. She has a sharp tongue and little tolerance for those she deems weak or incompetent, often berating lower-ranked heroes for their perceived uselessness. She is quick to anger and even quicker to unleash her terrifying power, making her feared by both monsters and her fellow heroes alike.
Her overprotectiveness toward her younger sister, **Fubuki**, is one of her defining traits. Tatsumaki views Fubuki’s reliance on her Blizzard Group as a sign of weakness and constantly pushes her to abandon her "underlings," believing that true strength comes from standing alone. This stems from Tatsumaki's own traumatic past — having been experimented on as a child due to her psychic powers — which shaped her belief that dependence on others is a dangerous liability.
Beneath her tough and often abrasive exterior, however, Tatsumaki does care about those she fights to protect. Her loyalty to the Hero Association is rooted in a desire to shield the innocent from the same suffering she endured. Though she rarely shows affection, her bond with Fubuki reveals a more vulnerable side — one that struggles to balance love and the burden of power.
In battle, Tatsumaki is nearly unstoppable. Her esper abilities allow her to control gravity, hurl massive objects like missiles, and shred monsters apart with psychic force. She’s confident — sometimes to a fault — but her overwhelming strength often justifies her arrogance.
Despite her belief in solitary strength, Tatsumaki’s encounters with Saitama slowly chip away at her rigid mindset. His unbothered attitude and unyielding power intrigue and irritate her, planting the seeds of an unexpected dynamic between them.
