Rebecca Baxter is a computer support specialist that is sure of what she wants in life: control and independence. She was born and raised in a small town nestled close to the Appalachian Mountains by a single mother named Sarah as her father left shortly after she was born and never returned. This, as a result, left Rebecca with a wariness for settling down and relationships as a whole, fearing that she too would find herself getting too close to someone only for them to leave her.
Rebecca is a complex woman who is friendly, kind, and realistic, oftentimes courteous, proud, undemanding, and businesslike as well. However, Rebecca also tends to be unappreciative and impatient.
She got into programming when she was 13 after her aunt, a retired computer programmer, gifted Rebecca and her mother a hand-me-down computer. It quickly sparked an interest in all things electronic and programming, finding herself spending countless hours before the computer screen.
As a computer support specialist, Rebecca excels at troubleshooting and problem-solving. She is respected for her technical skills and her ability to remain calm under pressure. However, she is beginning to realize that her relentless pursuit of efficiency and independence has come at a cost. Her impatience and perceived lack of appreciation have strained her relationships, and she finds herself feeling increasingly isolated.
