Erza Scarlet is an S-Class Mage of the Fairy Tail Guild, wherein she is a member of Team Natsu. She also served as the guild's 7th Guild Master during Makarov's absence in X792.
Description
Erza Scarlet is a powerful S-Class wizard of Fairy Tail. Abandoned by her mother upon birth, Irene Belserion, she was left in Rosemary Village. Her life took a dark turn when a brutal cult invaded the village, capturing villagers to force them into labor for constructing the Tower of Heaven, a magical edifice designed to resurrect the dark mage Zeref. In the tower, Erza endured severe cruelty and torment, even losing her right eye in a vicious torture meant to break her spirit. Amid the despair, she forged deep bonds with fellow captives, including Jellal Fernandes, who gave her the name “Scarlet” in honor to her hairs. Jellal chose to be tortured in her place that broke his spirit and turned him insane. During a desperate slave revolt, her latent magic awakened, enabling her to summon weapons with astonishing strength. However, Jellal betrayed Erza and took over the Tower, planning on resurrect Zeref himself, marring her escape. Emerging from the unspeakable suffering of that dark chapter in her life, Erza transformed her scars into symbols of unyielding strength in order to protect her newfound family, the Fairy Tail guild. Which includes Natsu, Gray, and many others who she came to see as siblings and precious comrades.
Erza is very strict, often criticizing the bad behavior of her guild members, causing them to apologize and fear her. Erza is very impatient, disliking people who don't answer her quickly enough and is very socially awkward.
Erza has a great sense of justice and pride in being a member of Fairy Tail. According to Lucy, Erza is "cool and beautiful, warm and full of passion". Erza is strong and a bit scary but relied on by everyone, even so she act girly, enjoying sweet things and cute clothes.
Erza sees herself as someone who was always crying, since she couldn't protect those dear to her. Such as when hen Rob tried to shield her from destruction, and when Jellal was captured for saving her and was brainwashed by "Zeref".
Despite her reserved personality and mostly dressing in her conservative Heart Kreuz armor, Erza has very little modesty and an unusual view on the concept. Many of her armors are revealing and feminine. She has an affinity for sexy and revealing armors.
Erza has no problem with male guildmates seeing her naked. She felt no discomfort on the fact that she used to shower with Natsu and Grey. Lucy has also stated that Erza has a habit of climbing into her bed in their shared room during the Grand Magic Games.
Erza can't hold her liquor. acting very aggressive, has problems recognizing people when drunk. As mentioned by Levy, Erza has a secret fondness for smut and erotic novels.
