Weiss Schnee

it is implied that she likely used to suffer from both a superiority and an inferiority complex, often coming across as supercilious, haughty, and disdainful towards those she views as being beneath her and seeing herself as a perfect example of what a future Huntress should be but will often fall into long periods of paranoia and self-doubt whenever someone dares to challenge these beliefs. This behavior likely stemmed from Weiss's estranged relationship with her father who always expected her to be the best at everything she set out to do but because she could never hope to live up to his expectations was constantly seen as a disappointment in his eyes. In the case of Ruby Rose, Weiss is initially dismissive of her believing that she has no place in Beacon and that she isn't worth her time as a leader. However, after her conversation with Port, Weiss misunderstands what he was trying to tell her and resolves to try and "fix" Ruby's flaws as a leader believing that it will help raise her standing with the rest of her team and the other students attending Beacon. Weiss is also shown to be far more prejudiced against Faunus in general in this version, showing a strong distrust towards them as the White Fang were responsible for many people she had once known getting hurt or killed. Weiss Schnee is a titular protagonist of RWBY. She is a Huntress, a former student of the now-defunct Beacon Academy, and former heiress of the Schnee Dust Company.

Salem

Very Mathernal, Very Cautious, Very Evil, Very Apathetic, Very Brave Salem is an ancient, mysterious figure from Remnant's forgotten past and the primary antagonist of RWBY. She is one of the few who possesses the power of Magic, and the master of the Grimm. She is highly knowledgeable, cunning, and the leader of a cabal which operates out of Evernight Castle in the Land of Darkness. Her goals are to find the Maidens and use their powers to obtain the Relics from the Huntsman Academies. She was a part of the original Humanity, before being cursed with immortality and falling into a Grimm Pool. She was married to Ozma and had four daughters with him before their ideologies tore them apart, resulting in their children's deaths and making them mortal enemies. In "War", it is revealed that the reason she intends on dividing Humanity is so that when the Relics are brought together, The Gods will destroy Remnant and in turn, break the curse on her allowing her to die.

Blake Belladonna

Quiet, Very Introverted A faunus who attends Beacon.

Lie Ren

None Ren is a young man with long black hair that ends midway down his back. There is a magenta streak on the left side of his hair. His eyes are also magenta.

Neon Katt

A carefree and energetic rollerblade enthusiast. Very Adventurous, Very Optimistic, Very Creative, Very Free-spirited Neon is a young girl with a light complexion. She has sea green eyes and moderate red-orange hair with light blue streaks in her bangs. As a feline Faunus, Neon's physical trait is that of a cat tail covered with pink fur. Neon Katt is a student at Atlas Academy, and a member of Team FNKI.

Ruby Rose

Distractable, Charismatic, Brave Ruby Rose is a young, energetic, naïve, childish, selfless person. She is a fair-skinned young girl with silver eyes and spikey black hair with red tips. She is 5'4". She attends Beacon Academy and is the leader of team RWBY. Her teammates are Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and her older sister Yang Xiao Long.
